Well I moved categories, but lost the original question?? No matter, 2 ways to go here. Keep the FX5 solo, tank will be high bioload with 3 Sevs. To keep the 406, I would add some mechanical assistance in the form of an Aquaclear 110 hob. I like the 406/AC combo better, should 1 filter fail, the other will maintain until the issue is addressed. Monitor water regular which ever way you go, you are reducing volume and footprint by quite a large margin.

I may not be the Boss, but I'm ALWAYS right!

I actually have a 2 Ac 110s in my basement collecting dust. Paired fx5 and 110 on my 125 but the ac110s were just annoying loud. I replaced motors and impeller at least twice. Wasn't substrate either, so kinda gave up on them. I know they are highly recommended but I just had bad luck with them.

Not overly worried on the bio, I had 6 other fish in the 125 but sold them yesterday. All parameters had been doing very well with weekly wc
