If you want to increase the oxygen then get yourself an air pump. This will normally come with the pump, the tube, and something that can be placed in the tank, if you just get a power head, you'll have to buy the piping and air stone separately.

okay so i bought a Tetra Whisper for 100 gal. Even though my tank is 150, a 100 gal pump will be good right? I have 2 Bio-Wheel 330's on there now so i figure those plus the 100gal air pump should definitely be sufficent right?
i love ebay! i paid $20.00 bucks for that pump!

i used to have air pump but as time goes on, and after
some trial and error, i decided to used powerhead instead.
it gives some advantages: 1)less humming sound of the motor;
2) directional current of water inside the tank;
3) additional filter if you make a DIY canister.
i prefer to hear the sound of flowing water than the vibration
of the motor of an air pump.

I'm going to see how this air pump works out and i might plan on getting a powerhead to so that i can angle to make some of the waste get back to the filters instead of the waste just sitting in a dead spot. Thanks for all of they help ya'll! i should be getting my pump by Friday

if you get a quality airpump then you dont have to deal with the noise from the vibrations
