i know ive had a post like this before but...

could someone please work out what the litres/gallons is for the RENA AQUALIFE 200 because ive worked it out as 160 gallons/727 litres but on their website it says that its only 619 ltres!

the measurements are 202x51x71 cm

am i being stupid or have they got it wrong

I think I know where you have got confused. Are you by any chance calculating the exact size they have given you for the aquarium? I.e. length height and width. What you've got to remember is that even though the aquarium might measured 24 inches high, the water won't actually come up that high inside, it will probably only come up around 22 inches. That will make a lot of difference. For example, my tank 6 x 2 x 2 if you work that out, it is something like 150 gallons. However, the water only comes up around 22 inches which actually means there is only around 125 gallons of water in the tank. I hope that makes sense now

thats what i thought it might of been but theyve put total volume 619 litres and then underneath volume capacity 580 litres! so i presummed that the 580 litres was what you meant by the water not going right to the top!

it might just be me being daft but i want to make sure because of the filtration heating etc

The tank you are talking about is not much bigger than mine. What sort of filtration are you thinking about?

i think it comes with a rena external filstar xp 3 or 4 so i was just going to add another external to it just to give me more filtration!
