I'm hopefully getting my new tank by the next of July so I've started shopping around for filters. the tank size has not been decided as yet, most likely around 250 to 350 litres.

I came across this site & was wondering if you guys could tell me if any of the filters here are any good? none of the brand names here ring a bell so I am a bit confused.

by guessing what i know (us gal size) you are in the ball park of a 55 gal tank? But i would suggest at least a 4 stage filter just cause of the more ability to increase the flitration ability, secondly always go bigger than what you want with the filter.. but my best suggestion is to find a lfs and see them in person and see how they are set up and how easy it is for you to do maitence on but i have not heard of any of those filters personally or seen them but it could be because of my location.
I have lost my mind be back when I find it, maybe.

from the list of filters on the link you gave the fx5 is the best followed by the xp4 then the xp3. depending on how big of a tank you finally get go with a filter that is capable of handling a tank twice as big( if you get a 55 get a filter that is rated for a 110)

good luck with your purchase
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!
