I haven't actually got one but I don't think the noise will be too bad, you will probably noticed more noise coming from the water entering the tank. Assuming you are locating them in the Cabinet under the tank with the doors closed. I've never actually read about people complaining about the noise, put it that way. I use EHEIM filters and they don't make any noise at all
