hi there.. I will be receiving my new tank in a week, it will be 72"x18"x24", (by my calc it is 130 gallon)>> i want to grow and keep ONLY 2 oscars. what size filter would be recomended for my size tank, and also what heater size would be reccomended.??

keeping in mind only two oscars will house the new tank after cycle.
all suggestions wellcome

I don't think you can go far wrong with an eheim. They are quiet, reliable any spares are easy to come by. I've had my eheim 2317 for 14 years with no probs.

As for the heater, you'd have to check what your temperature does to begin with.
I got a 180 gl tank and I don't need a heater. And I live in Holland....
Watertemp will never drop below 23 dgrs C.(73,4F).
But my tank is well isolated and the heat from my lights recycles through the tank by using a pond airator with 4 airstones.
