"pot scrubbers are the things used to scrub pots...lol. But they work great for biofiltration" is that true ???

not sure for beneficial bacteria but its like a good mess and it will surely filter away most stuff.. good idea i would say.. but ensure they are not any chemically treated.. cause that might poison the tank...

I've seen some Sumps filled with scrubbies, so I suppose it works well.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

when using a large volume filter like a sump setup the most economical way to fill your bio needs is with pot scrubbies. they offer a huge area for your beneficial bacteria to grow on and are quite inexpensive to purchase. just make sure that they are untreated with soap of detergents and pack thm inas tight as you can.

i use them in the sump on my 220 and have used them for the last 2 years and i have never had any problems with ammonia or nitrites. at time i have even had the tank quite overstocked and it still ran without a flaw.

yes.. thats nice... i am gonna put some in my canister next time i open it for cleaning...
