Do you have a small fish or some fish in there to complete your cycle?
Your bacteria need some poo to stay alive.
Dunno about the link between nitrites and cloudiness.

If your waterparameters stay fine, I'd say that the cloudiness will go with your continuing WC's.

I wouldnt worry about the cloudy tank at the moment. Just let your tank cycle and things should go back to normal

A cloudy tank can occur for many reasons. It could be sediment from your gravel, a bacterial bloom, or from a recent filter media change. All of the above mentioned, in and of themselves, are harmless. I always keep some water clarifier in my fish tank medicine cabinet. It causes the finer particles in the water to coagulate so that the filter works more efficiently, especially after water/filter media changes . . .

well, two of the above could be it.. Sediment from gravel, (how i gravel cleaned and mixed up the gravel lifting the dust or whatnot.). also i put in 1.5kg of bio max ceramic noodles in the filter when i did vacume the gravel.. thanks for that...

a polishing pad on the top layer of the filter wiil help with cloudy water the out let pipe from your filter being pushed to far down the tank stirs the water up causing murkey water or a power head pointed in the wrong position may efect the bottom sediment

I would give it a day or two and see if it clears up.. If not, Try that aqua clear stuff as stated before... It will clear up, don't worry about it!

its definately a bacterial bloom that is guaranteed to happen with every cycling tank ....just turn your lights off for a few days and reduce feeding ........it will clear up on its own after a week ....dont open your filters or add polishing pads theres realy no need ...its completely normal ....your cycle will last 40 days exactly from the first trace ammo reading ...and you need to perform a 25-30% waterchange every day for this period ....your tank will be in a bit of a state for this 40 days so forget the bloom and just concentrate on the cycle ....but cutting the light and reducing the food will sort it without interfering with your cycle ....
