I had went to lebanon for 3 weeks ,before i had left i bought a canister filter and automatic fish feeder,i had set up the filter and everything was working perfectly so i had went on that night,after coming back from my wonderful trip i seen my oscars grew like giants and my water was crystal clean.I went to look at my filter and seen the hoses were full of waste but the water was clear and clean i had cleaned the filter it was only a bit dirty but hoses were full of waste,how do i clean them

How do i remove waste from hoses

i dontknow that you want to. are you sure its waste? and not the same beneificial bacteria in your filter??? if you really must... i suppose you could get some wire, run it thru it, and tie the end off onto a bottle brush and pull it thru.

cut the loop off, and bend the handle back on itself to make a hook. twist the wire on and you should be good to go.

im sure they actually have a tool specifically for that purpose... but im the king of improvising things lol. i started to suggest a paintball squeezie lol.

a cotton or sponge hooked at one end of the wire will do the tricks.
it is partly good bacteria wall and slime, unsightly but would not
harm your fishes.

i use a pressure washer to clean the hoses on my canisters. i tried running water from the tap but found that the pressure was inadequate so therefore the pressure washer. and by the way its works great.

i just tied a long string on a washcloth and pulled it through since the wascloth is a tight fit i get real clean hoses when im done with just 2 passes granted lots of effort but hell didnt cost me a thing lol.

Any of the above suggestions would do it. Or you could just leave it , as Paul said it wont do any harm
