Hey ya'll it's been a long time since i've been in here! i lost a fishie last week....don't even know what killed her...that's another subject though.
My tetras air pump's diaphragms have ripped up. has this happened to anyone else? I searched the internet for a repair kit but everywhere i have looked they are out of stock. so i figured i could fix it with silicone? is this a good fix?
i found some clear sealant called liquid nails and just noticed when i got it home that it's not recommended for aquarium use....since it's just being used on the diaphragm could it still hurt the inhabitants in my tank?

good day natalie, any flexi materials will do as long as it will not
break due to constant vibration. but air pump is easy to remedy. just
lift the discharge point of your filter pump and you can make up for the
lost air bubbles.

Hi there, I am not sure what exactly you broke, but I just bought a tetra whisper 60 yesterday @ big als. I saw a repair kit for all the tetra whispers models. Also as a side note, I was wondering if you thought the pump was loud, I think mine may be broken. GOod luck

I suspect you will have trouble fixing the diaphram. As paul said let the filter ripple the surface and wait until you can buy a new diaphram

Lots of silicone sealants have an anti fungicide in them and this is what is abd for fish, so as long as the sealant isnt in contact with the tank water it should be ok to use

use some tank sealant maybe??? if its safe to use in a fish tank i would think it might work for that and be safe for the fish?
