- When you change water?
- How much?
- What you do to keep levels/temperature the same?
- When you clean filter?
- When you vacuum/wipe down tank?
- Any other tips to keeping tank healthy?
And any other questions and answers that i may have missed. Would be much appreciated to all the beginners out there.

Everybody is different, where one person may need to carry out a water change once a week, somebody else with a similar setup may need to do it twice a week.

How many fish have you got? How often & much do you feed? What kind of filtration have you got? How big is the tank?

I prefer temperatures between 26 and 28°C. I change between 40 and 50% of the water. My nitrate levels are normally between 20 and 30 ppm when it comes to WC's which is good.

You shouldn't really need to vacuum the tank more than once a week. Obviously if you are feeding enormous amounts of food then your tank is going to get dirty that much quicker.

If you have got a good filtration system, don't have too many fish, carry out regular tank maintenance, then your tank should stay healthy.

It really does boil down to tank size at the end of the day. If somebody insists on keeping large messy fish in a small aquarium, expect to have to carry out lots of tank maintenance.

difficult to give specific answer.... it depends on what your tank size,
what is/are in your tank, what is your filtration, etc.. etc.... it boils
down what is your ideal parameters to maintain?

maintaining a water nitrates at 40 is different from 20...etc..etc.
feeding ritual plays important role too...
and as OFL had said,,, what is in your tank can affect the maintenance
rituals....

in other words: water parameters should be:
ammonia=0
nitrite=0
nitrate= not higher than 40
pH=ideal is 7 but 6 to 8 would be fine as long as it is stable
feeding must be varied to give balance diet

for water change I find it quite simple, if you feed right and that means only once a day and what they will eat in 2mins. This is for fish 4 inches or above

Test you water once a week, if your nitrates are above 40 then you need to do bigger or more frequent water changes. The important things is that nitrates need to be below 40 and ammonia and nitrite should be zero. If ammonia and nitrite are not zero then you need either more filtration or you are cleaning your filter wrong. Clean filters every 6 to 8 weeks

Clean your cover whenever it gets dirty
