Anyone seen the add for the Aquaripure's denitrator nitrate remover. even better anyone using one? it sells itself as a great item that we should all own but I wounder can it be so good. Check out the site and give your view. I would like to hear from any member that's using it. I hope I am not going to be a test pilot for this only to find I wasted my cash. i was thinking about getting one.

i had goggle about it and there are plenty of good write up for the item.
however, there is no way to verify the thread if they are not the same
person who produces the product..just a marketing ploy to create good
write ups about denitrator.

I'm not entirely convinced with products like this. I think it could make people lazy. You only have to read the first paragraph on their website.

And as for their claims that it will save you money, absolutely laughable. Unless I didn't read properly, there's a little bit tagged on the end of the page about the pump. Electricity costs money, and it is getting more expensive.

I wouldn't waste my money on this

actually, if it really runs as alleged in one of the forum (for the product),
it can really save money in the long run by:
1) less water change;
2) less need for filtering pumps;
3) less need for medication; and
4) can have more productive time.

but getting it at US$150.00 ++, i cost me more than 7 cavan x 50 kgs of rice.
its really an investment.... without the assurance yet that it really works.

But you have still got a pump running 24/7. Once you know the consumption, it wouldn't take long to work out how much it would cost to run for the year, then you could calculate if indeed it did save you any money. But I suspect it's rather like having solar panels installed. It'll take you for ever to actually make back the money spent in the first place.

actually, i had done that, i have a formula in excel calculating everything.
the problem is, no one yet among us could confirm that the gadgets really works.
as i have said, there is no way to prove that the forum is not a hoax or created
by the maker of the gadgets themselves.

giving the solar energy as a sample... i totally agree on that. the cost
is really high to the point that sometimes you may think it is not ideal.
however, what we gain in having one is the effort in saving the mother nature.
although i am not sure yet what would be the effect of those acid contained
in the dry cell.... that needs to be replaced from time to time too.

if it was guaranteed it would work (remove almost all nitrate)or money back I would go for it. the cost of running would be almost the same as a filter, I would have thought. with no extra cost for media and water bill it will cost less, it has some appeal. it could be an answer for people with 60g tanks to own 2 oscars without HITH and constant water change or as Paul dose plants growing out the tank.)))))) the misses will give me HITH if I grow plants on top.)))))) Any idea what is inside? after all the filter part could only circulate water like a normal filter? what only needs sugar water to recycle it? lastly I am a big disbeliever of write ups on items sold. I have a mate that works in a factory that produce a product. he gets paid overtime to write up good reviews on the product.

i am with you on this marcus... as i keep on saying...the write and forum posting available is no guarantee that they are not the manufacturer themselves.
lets wait till someone among us have tested it and give us thumb-up recommendation.

If it does work then i will buy some straight way but i am suspicious. If it does work then there will be a replacement part to buy regularly but if i dont need to do water changes then i wont care, Fish keeping would be soooo much easier
