I got one of these today. They are pretty handy. For those of you who dont know... this is a gravel vacuum that you hook up to you faucet to eliminate the use of buckets. I think it works well, however, it seems to take longer than just good old fashioned bucket hauling. Anyone else use one?

If you are talking about a Python then yes, I have heard of them. In fact, I had one myself a few years ago. Unfortunately these type of cleaning utensils are no good for anyone who is on a water meter because you need to have the tap running to put water in, and also take it out. You also need good water pressure for it to work properly, if your water pressure is weak, it doesn't work very well.

There is also the fact of all that crappy water going into your sink, if it somewhere that you prepare food, I don't think it's particularly hygienic. A gravel vac attached to a hosepipe out of the window does the job for me.

Yeah it is similar to the python but it is about half the price. But yes it does use a lot of water.

I don't have to keep the water running with mine, I drop it down the laundry shoot and hook it up down there, away from any food and then clorox cleans the sink from the washer . I love mine, I wouldn't be without it.
