I am currently running a 405 on my 55 gal tank. Just got a catfish and the two are getting along so far. I hope they grow up and still like each other. Anyway I am in the market for a 100 gal. As soon as I get a deal I'm happy with I will make the change. The question is if I add another 405 with this be enough filtration. I been reading about the fx5 and I think size wise I would rather two smaller filters.

Thanks
Roger

When you say 405, I assume you are talking about the Fluvel 405 canister filter? I believe they are good for 90 gallons?, I could be a little out there, however, if you have two of them, you will have more than enough filtration. I get, the more filters you have, the more congested things are going to be and you still have to get all the pipework into the tank.

Yes I was talking about a Fluval 405 cannister. Thats what I'll do then is order another one. There isn't much in my area for used 100 gal tanks right now. But the search continues.
