im fixing to put the bulkheads in my 8ft tank and i was wondering if i should put silicone on the tank/bulkhead contact area? there is a thick rubber gasket included.

LOL, i didn't post cuz I saw the pics of them attached allready, or am I wrong?
I suposse the rubber fittings are enough to seal off with.
I didn't use any silicone, just had a hard time getting a grip on the thing at the bottom of my overflow.
Mind you any leaks in my case wouldt result in the water still falling into the sump.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

The tubing leaves the underside of your overflow,right?
There won't be that much pressure up there even if it wouldt be filled completely.
IMO let the rubber do the job!

lol silicone is definatly going to be required for the bulkheads, they leak like a sieve without it lol.
