Ive got a slight case of algae bloom in my tank & ive done all the basics, big water changes twice a week no light for a week, cut down on feeding ect.

its not really bad but i can see this slight green tint in the water possibly cause i sit with my nose to tank all night.

i was just wandering if their is any natural way to rid of algae as im not a big fan of meds.
DONT BUY ON IMPULSE DO SUM HOMEWORK FIRST

Well, algae thrives when there is plenty of nutrients in the water so I would have thought cutting down on your feeding regime and doing regular water changes is probably the best way of getting rid of it. I can't see how it's going to hurt your fish so I agree, using meds is probably unnecessary. The only thing you do have to be careful with having these problems is the oxygen level in the water can drop, so if you have got some kind of airstone, I would put it in.

OFL is right, keep the feeding down, only feed once a day and what they will eat in 3 to 5 mins. Also only have the lights on when you home. I have my lights on a timer. Comes on at 6 and off at 10
