is anyone using a Ultra Violet filter on their tanks? I just ordered one and will be using it on my new tank. I'll post my experience and thoughts after I get it setup.

I found this article very informative and thought others may find it interesting as well.

I have a canister with a UV sterilizer in it and I LOVE IT!!! I never have algae in the tank, EVER!
It's NOT smart to piss off the girl with the BAN button!

I sure will - I could find no down-sides to running UV. It eliminates algae and pathogens in the water column..... after battling ICH a few times in my past, this alone would be worth it. Also, on a new tank with no algae; I'm hoping to never have any. And with Nickisue's recommendation, I'm even more glad I went for it!
