Ok...if you saw the thread I made a new intake and spray bar for my eheim out of white pvc pipe. I would really like them black and should have used the black ABS piping like Win told me but I had already had it made by this point.

What I was wondering is there an aquarium safe spray paint I can use to paint these items? I figure some of the aquarium decorations are painted when you buy them so I would think there is something I could use that is non-toxic after applied. I know I heard of some people using the krylon fusion paint but I wanted to get peoples opinions from here first. If its not a good idea i'll leave them white but if possible would like to paint them black.

Thanks!

I don't know that I would trust any kind of paint in my tank...I used Krylon on the outside, but I won't put it inside.

Maybe if you could find something that is food safe. but it would suck if something happen when you finally get your babies.

I know that is what i'm worried about most. I was leaning towards not painting it but just curious if anyone has tried it.

epoxy paint do not react to water when fully cured, however, you have a PVC
materials, it requires sanding the smooth surface to stick the paint well
before applying.

keep the white pvc version as a template / example and make a second set using black pvc? I think I remember reading that it was very quick to make?

I would be worried about the paint (even if non-toxic) eventually peeling.

Yeah...I think i'll just leave them white for now and maybe if I feel ambitious I'll make up a black set!

lol 25 dollar mistake. i so wish you had said black before hand i would have said something sooner lol. if it really bugs you do black abs, still cheaper than buying the proper parts, and you have a purpous built spare set available.

Yeah very true...extra set would be nice. I'm just going to go with the white ones for now and maybe down the road i'll make a black set. Like I said its not all that important just figured they would hide a little better being black...oh well...pvc is cheaper anyway so I can't complain!
