hi all again i was wondering if it is possible to make your water to oxygen rich?

im guessing not but some advice would be appreciated,

i run fluval fx5 plus a fluval 405, the smaller ive attached a bit of garden hose about a ft long with 5mm holes drilled every inch or so this produces a waterfall effect with thousands of tiny little air bubbles that just seam to float about in the tank

advice or comments appreciated

thanks

what type of fish do u have and what are your water perams are your fish haveing trouble. yes u can have too much oxygen in your tank. its the same as in humans if u get too much oxygen u get dizzy and eventually your brain shuts down. if u are not haveing any problems with your fish then i wouldnt worry about it

Don't worry, you cannot introduce too much oxygen into a fish tank under normal everyday conditions, I'm not even sure if it's possible to do it any other way.

water aeration or agitation do add oxygen dissolve in tank. same is true with
air bubbler... but you can not over oxygenate the tank water. oxygen dissolve
will just evaporate in the air....

when you buy a fish and bagged it, the store usually inflate the bag with oxygen.
the purpose is to maintain the oxygen on top of the water inside the bag since there
is no pump in it.
