i have blue led's on my light set up.
they r kindof bright wen its dark in the room, are they ok too leave on all night or wil it disrupt my oscars sleeping pattern?
although i would hate to see fish fight, my oscar would kick your oscars ass!

i am not sure what other time oscar sleep but my o's are sleeping at noon time,
thus, light is not a problem for them....my tanks are all exposed to daylight
the whole day except the community tank inside the living room.

Your Oscar's should sleep fine with the blue LED lights. Remember in there natural habitat some light always gets through the surface, light from the stars, or the moon.

When I'm good, I'm very good.. When I'm bad, I'm f*ckin' better.

I got LED spot on until about 1 AM.
The blue LED's i got turn on just before daylighting turns off and stays on all night.
This is mainly because i work in shifts and i spend lots of time in front of the tank at night.
I read that Oscars can turn off any visual impulses when they sleep.
So, in fact when a Oscar sleeps he will not see anything, lights or no lights.
I observed my O in different light situations and his sleeping pattern does not change, due to the nightlights being on all night.
If bright lights shine at night my O will go to sleep later, but will still sleep.
I noticed that my fish seem to spook less when the roomlights or tanklights turn on, when i keep the nightlights on.
I got hanging plants that reduce the lights in one corner, to provide a dark spot for my fish.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
