Would be interested in hearing what backgrounds people have in there tank and what they feel is best.

Have heard light blue paint or black is best for instance. Also heard of using everything from mirrors and car windscreen tinting also.

Have Juwel bark style myself that you silicne in. however for my next tank this stuff isnt high enough to cover to the top.

So looking for ideas and inspiration, or just what people think is best.

When i set up my 100g i looked for a background for my tank. The local LFS only sold the stick on backgrounds, however for 2ft high they only sold the blue/black background so that is what i went with. What i really wanted was a rock background
I can't get no sleep

Found an article were the guy had used textured spray paint from likes of Homebase. Took 10 minutes and gave fantastic effect.

You get diffrent colours and also cracked marble effect sprays as well.

Please note its on outside of the tank, not inside.

I justed switched over to black and it makes the tank look bigger. Some of the fish are showing up more brilliant too. And, they say black goes with everything. I'll give it a try for awhile too when I get my bigger tank.
