I have a 360L tank (approximatively 100 gal).

I have bought 4 Oscar fish BB last Week End.

Do you think it's enouth for them ? I have 2 Discus fish in my tank too. 13cm each. Little but already adult. They don't grow very well, but they are in very good health.

Do you think they are eating my Discus fish ? and do you think

I would think that as the oscars grow, two would be the max for this tank along with good filtration.

I have a few fish myself in my 250L tank. However once my new tank of 500L is ready it will be home to my oscar 'harry' only.

My other fish are going to a good friend for his larger tank.

I agree. Would even think with additional tankmates other than Oscars 360l are better for only one Oscar.

Not sure about combining Dicus and Oscars, to me personally it sounds like something I wouldn't do. Regarding the size of the Discus I would hope they're too big for becoming Oscar food.
Probably someone keeping Discus can say more about the combination.
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this

I dont know to much about discus but what i do know is that discus like warmer water in think the live in like 30deg C water which getting a bit on the hot side for the oscars.

discus are also very fussy and with the oscars being so messy i cant really see them living happy together.

thats just my thoughts i might be wrong.
DONT BUY ON IMPULSE DO SUM HOMEWORK FIRST

With Oscars, you will have lots of waste and particles from food or digging floating around.
Discus are sensitive to pollution and need a clean environment.

Kind of like that, HTH

Boy, they look so small still, cute! They will grow fast though and require frequent water changes, especially in a small tank like that.

ok !! i understand what you want to mean.

I do keeping discus since 5 years and yes frequent water change i do: 40L every 2days if i can, or when i 'm busy with my job water change is 1/3 tank volume during the week-end.

do you think it's ok, or i need to do more water change ?

Discus are not compatible with oscars. As mentioned already discus should be kept at 30c whereas oscars should be kept at 26/27. Also although oscars are generally not aggressive they can be boisterous and when they get big they might damage your discus if/when they show them who is boss. Also oscars go mad for food and when going for the food when they are big your discus might get injured. Discus are quite timid and nervous and will not enjoy being with oscars and will feel intimidated and will be stressed. Either get another tank and separate them or rehome your discus or oscars. Remember discus are thin fish and compared to a large oscar even a full size discus is only a fraction of the size

To find out if you are doing enough water changes test your water every month at least or ideally weekly. Your ammonia and nitrite should be zero, if they are not then you have a problem with your filter. Nitrate should be ideally below 20 but at least below 40. Discus need cleaner water and nitrate of 20 or below is necessary. Keeping nitrate below 20 with oscars can be hard as they produce so much waste especially if your tap water nitrates are quite high
