I have alot of lava rock in my tank currently (not my choice) I dont reall feel like paying top dollar for rocks at the pets store. Can i go down to my local landscape supply and buy some river rocks?

Yes sir you can. just make sure you rinse and rinse and then rinse again!!! I bought 300 lbs of gravel for $5!

WOW I have wasted alot of money over the years, I feel stupid =P. Its amazing how very little LFS empoyees know, Im so glad I found you guys =P

I spent lots and lots on aquarium gravel too before I figured it out! Don't feel bad!

i spemt like $80 on gravel now i found it easier to clean without it so i got rid of nearly all of it haha

Home Depot James, Home Depot. I bought pea gravel and play sand from there, it required a lot of washing (well the sand did), but it looks nice and cost like a total of $7.63.

i still spent a fair amount on my driftwood bu i love it....get all my rocks from garden centres etc for low prices

I took the rocks for my tanks out of one of my Gardens.
Got enough choise there!



Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

staying....but it is very difficult to communicate to people here...mostly

hey Noddy, those rocks can cope up with a 5 meter x 2 meter x 1 meter deep pond filtration system using an elevated rundown sequencing.... i had done it with two
good friends.
