Hi everyone...well I think i'm going to be getting a new acrylic tank this summer for the Oscars...I'm just gonna save the money up and get it new so I can have exactly how I want it! Decided to go with acrylic mainly for the weight issue...the tank I want is about 200 lbs compared to roughly 350 lbs if it was made of glass so it would be nice to be able to move it a little more easily into the house! haha!
I'm looking at getting on made that is 72"L x 30"W x 24"H which works out to about 225 gallons! I wanted to do a 3D rock background similar to Noddy's so that is why I wanted to make it a little wider as well.
I was wondering if I go with this tank would the size be worth setting up a sump filter in it? I've kind of always been interested in sumps and wanted to give it a shot setting one up on this tank since I'd be starting fresh with it...just didn't know if it would be worth it on this tank or if I'd be better off with canisters.
My wife said she'd pay for half of it to so that is a plus!

Plus there is an oscar in a tank where she works and its a little overcrowded in the tank so the owner said I could take his oscar when I get a bigger tank setup for him...figure if he didn't work out in the big tank I could always put him in the 90 I have and just keep him in there...very excited!

And sorry this post got a little long! haha!
