just bought virtually brand new spotless 55gal tank, with hood, lights, and 2 HOB's. going to be a dedicated home for my two Green Spotted Puffers. cost me 60 bucks. my buddy bought it like 5-6 months ago brand new, even comes with a pacu and a tiny red oscar. i need to make a place for it, and ill bring it home tomorrow and take pics of it. im sure my puffers will be quite happy. this will be a full marine tank, with live rock down the road.

well the pacu and lemon oscar in my 8' tank, came from this tank im getting, i may put the pacu in the 8 footer, and yeah, ill give the lil red a chance and put him in there as well. so the 2 pacu will no doubt like the reunion, but the facts are eventually they will have to be rehomed or face the hot oil. one thing im not happy about... it comes with another pleco lol. i really dont need any more plecs! theres also a baby silver dollar and baby tiger barb. BUT BUT BUT the best part, i get my pictus back that i gave him way back when he had his little 30 gal tank, its grown nicely! about 5" maybe 6", just a lil beauty! i love those cats! lol DAMN im over stocked now, never thought that would happen to my 8 foot tank lol, im glad im over double filtered too!!!! i should be alright when i get the massive cloud of convict fry and the pacu's out of there!

since the gsp's are so small, and that tank is big enough for it, i may get a snowflake eel, or niger triggerfish, the eel is reclusive enough, and the trigger agro enough, that they should be able to coexist with the gsp's (not many fish can be housed with puffers, they are just too mean) and they are just so pretty!

7 tanks now marcus, but im taking down 2 of the 10 gal tanks, and im selling my 110 lobster tank to LFS that wants to use it for culturing live rock, so i should be set, i may just give the lobster tank to them for store credit instead of cash, i need the fish supplies more than the bit of money lol, and just get a tab goin in there!

lol min size for a pacu is like 300g they say... altho really i cant see any fish that grows to 3ft and 60lb happy in any home aquaria... i did NOT buy the pacu in my tank, i dont condone people buying pacu, and i dont think they should sell them at the pet store, this is one of those fish that just get too big for a home tank. the TWO i have now are going to be breaded and deep fried here shortly lol. anyways, as for pic of the new tank, i have just filled it up with water for the first time, i painted the background black earlier, it looks crazy in the pic huh? lolol



now... i need about 80 pounds of live rock and some salt!

i had raised pacu in a 36 x 24 x 24 tank and it grew up to 11 inches.
somebody bought the whole set up including the fish...unfortunately
the new owner doesn't know how to care for the fish and it died
a few months later.... poor beautiful snap nose pacu!
