well after about 2-3 weeks of fixing my tank i filled it up and it was going good till this morning then it broke now i have to buy a new one which will take my about 4-6 weeks to save for so bud will b in a 10 gallon for that long i no that i shouldnt have him in there but there isnt much else i can do i have 2 filters in the 10 that have a flow rate of 400 litres/ph so it works out to be 800L/PH will this be ok? and how often should water changes be? so angry about the tank :angry:

I think until you can buy a new tank, I would go get a large Rubbermaid tote to put him in. Just keep the lid on so he can't jump out of course. Sure it won't be very pretty but it's a hell of a lot better than a 10gl tank! Plus you can pick up a large tote for like $20 American.

yer i no but it doesnt sound much but i lost my job thats y its going to take me so long so any money i get i hav to save for a new tank plus im gettin my licence soon so i have to save for a car to so any money i get goes in the bank

Yes, but it's only $20. So....save for a car a little longer, or let your fish suffer? When it comes to my fish, I'm all about what's best for them. They're my pets, just like my dogs. I love them and want them to live healthy happy lives. If that means they have to kick it in a plastic tote until I can afford a bigger aquarium then so be it. Not trying to berate you man, just think that it's a small price to pay for the life of your fish.

I had to silicone some chipped corner edges, and had to think of you.
And like Jenni said, get a rubbermaid container!
btw didn't you buy one of those before you started your repairs?

Sorry to hear about your tank, that sucks. I go with the others and get a large container till you get your new tank
