Test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. This will give us a clearer idea of what is going on.

But it sounds like a bacteria bloom!

cloudy tank normally is cause by bacteria bloom...and it happens :
1) when you clean all filter media in tap water;
2) replaced all filter with a new one;
3) apply some aquarium chemicals to treat the water.

please give us data as admin had requested.

I have to go get the bottle type testers because all I have is test strips so I cannot really give yall any specs, I'm not even sure how to read the strip

but you did not answer the question whether you wash all filter media?
in tap water? or in tank water? this is critical with bacteria bloom.

that is the culprit...for the bacteria bloom.... if you haven't vacuum
the substrate, stir them lightly so that some beneficial bacteria will
float and go directly to the filter and help establish bb colony. tank
will clear up eventually.

ok if anyone has read his other post about high pH he said that he added driftwood...this is probobly the problem..what color is the cloudiness....its probobly from tannins...no need for 4 filters lol....explain everything that you have done right before things in water changed so we can help!!!!

testing for ammonia and nitrite wont necessarily tell you why water is cloudy... I dont understand why people think so....only if levels are high which are unlikely if fish seem to be o.k. your problems are from tannins. you said in another post that you recently added at least 2 pieces of driftwood. Tannins leach causing reddish brown water....."tea colored"......is this the discoloration?
