You will need to know what kind of wood it is... Don't use soft woods... And then you will need to find out how to make it aquarium safe!

lol

but on a serious note.. you need to season the wood.. boil it in hot water.. for 2 hrs.. or keep it in cold water for a week.. and then use it in the tank..

btw.. do you have a pic of it?? would love to see it

I say be carefull, for the wood may rot or may be poluted.
I say it's not worth the rish.
Better invest some bucks and get some real fishproof wood at your lfs.

Its not really the money thats an issue The drift wood I'v found is just awsome and I would love to have it in my tank but I love having my fish way more so I'm not going to risk it. I'v been looking online for some cool drift wood but gosh for a peice to fit from one side of the tank to the other is like 50 dollars and I would spend the money but if I tell my wife I spent that much money on a peice of wood I would be sleeping on the couch for a week. She's already fed up with me dropping money into the fish tank but like I told her ITS MIND OVER MATTER I DONT MIND SO IT DONT FRICKIN MATTER LOL
