I use 2 150 w heaters for my 55 gallon.
Also, it looks as if you might have a few questions about tank sizing, filtration, etc.
The below link can calculate sizes for filters, ph range, temperature range, fish stocking by size and species, etc. etc., although the water change recommendations seem very high to me. (It says my tank is overstocked (which it is as a 55 gallon housing a common pleco and a tiger oscar, although I hardly recommend an 81% water change per week lol). The rest of the info seems very valid though.
All you need to do is add how many and what type of fish you have, the size of the tank, and the type of filtration, click update, and it will display facts, figures, and recommendations for you.
