so the mighty fx5 is down for the count
ive herd stories of them breaking down out of no were
well it happened to me
tonight
took it all apart to see if anything way blocking it
nothing
even took motor apart
nothing clean
gunna call hagen tomorrow
see if they will send me a new one or somthing im hopeing

you no whats gunna suck is all the bacteria is going to die now
and the only thing on the tank is the ac 110
hope it can handle things for a while
till i figure things out

that really suck! have you check if it is still under warranty?
Manufacturer usually do replace the defective unit with a new
one if it is under warranty.

is there any humming sound in the motor? if none, check the fuse!
box and the switch!

theres a duse box and a switch?

all i no of is you plug it in and it just turnes on?

fuse box in the house
and switch its pluged into
ya everythings working
other things are pluged into what the fx5 was pluged into and there all working fine

no humming at all coming from the motor

So is it working pauly?

nothing
just gunna have to wait till tomorrow when Hagen opens up and call them
then start all over again from square one hope fish survive
and i dont get to high of an ammonia spike

Just make sure the power supply is reaching the plug socket u r trying to use. It might be that. Try plugging in a light and see if it comes on. Then, check the fuse in the filter and work your way up to the motor.

Sucking on the outlet of the filter may help.
That is if the problem is air trapped in the motor.

so nothing worked i declaired the motor dead at 7am this morning after trying it again and taking the motor completly apart agin
called Hagen and there gunna send me a new one once they recieve mine in the mail so this might take a while to get the fx5 up and running again....
the ac110 is holding on strong there is a hint of ammonia in the tank but fish dont seem stressed?
should i do a water change? or let the mini cycle go threw its process?
im sure im going threw a mini cycle with the ac 110 trying to grow bacteria to handle the loss of bacteria in the fx5

you may come unstuck having taken it apart. I would alway recommend you contact the dealer before you attempt a self fix. they are pretty good for replacing the filters that brake down so I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
