Hi and Welcome!

I would get a Fluval 405 to run on your tank as well... They are great filters.. Hope this helps!

Hi friend call me Jamie...

When I was big into the fish keeping thing a while ago. I thought there nothing better looking than an UGF with the riser pipes at each back corner with a power head on the top of them. Working away pumping the water round and being filtered etc etc.

The UGF's are not that common anymore and as Matt says I have a 'sun sun 2000l/h with a built in UV.
Its not installed yet as I am in the process of getting my tank ready... But watch this space cant be long now.

with oscars i would stay away from the in tank filters. for a tank your size i would recommend a fluval 405. this should be enough for your tank and if later you upgrade then it can run in conjuction with another to help meet your filtration needs.....

Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

No... They hang over the back of the tank. And the canister sits in your stand on on the floor!

I have a 55 gal with a aqua-tech 30-60 HOB and a Eheim Ecco 80 gal running and my water has tested perfect and looked perfect ever since i installed the Eheim. I have sand so UGF is out of the question but it would be a plus.

I say rock the undergravel filter and get the canister. And a HOB if you can. the more the better.
