It doesn't matter how well you maintain an aquarium, algae is inevitable, everyone gets it. I have one of those algae scraper's, they are magnetic and you just move them up and down and they remove any algae on the inside of the glass. The problem with leaving algae on the glass is sometimes it gets very hard and then can become very difficult to remove with a normally algae scraper. I did this for the first aquarium I had and I ended up having to get one of those algae scraper that had a blade built in, you have to be very careful with these because they can scratch glass very easily.

if you allow it to stay in the glass for a few more weeks, you can even
feel it like a pimples in the glass wall. and will need serious scrubbing
to removed it.
