hi i use them, the one you are looking at is only 24lights, will be to small, go for this one 120 led light strip, its on ebay, no 150413442113, its £16.00, that will do the job nicely

I use a strain of 120 Blue Xmas lights for nightlights, cuz they're cheap and work well.
But i know either Meghan or Jenni did buy very nice LEDs for tank, with a combo of blue and white LEDS and they're the bomb. but cost quite some bucks.
Search enigine may help out.
edit: I also use 6x6 Deville White LED spots, but they produce a beam and are not recommendable...unless you place them above the outlet of your airstones!

Actually, I bought some blue led regular 'star' night/mood lights that are meant to reflect back onto the wall. They're great because all I had to do was rest them at two points on either side of the tank, and since the light shines against the back of the wall the angle of the light rests them down into the tank perfectly with the cords running down the back. The led itself is encased in plastic so it's diffused and essentially waterproof if any small splash back occurs. They work awesome and were 2.95 each. I happened to have won one at an amusement park a long time ago and happened upon it, and it ended up working awesome...the led night lights for 'aquariums' at my LFS were about 14 bucks a piece not including an 'adaptor' which was necessary and cost an additional 23 bucks. NO WAY since in a lot of cases you're essentially paying for 'christmas' lights...you're just paying top dollar because they're packaged as 'aquarium' lights and are encased or recessed in plastic.

They were the exact shape as this except just a LED light (not a bubble light, although Im sure that would work just as well for a 'diffused' light) that reflects back towards the plug...just the top half hangs over the back of the hood and the plug with the cord attached just hangs down the back, they are angled perfectly so that I don't even need to 'attach' them. When Ido water changes I just sit them on top of the filters and then lay them back in place when I'm done. Also, they worked alot better than trying to rig regular string lights...they look messy and I'm not sure how safe it is if the string somehow came unattached and fell into the water.

The strip l.e.d sets on ebay from experience are pretty good and if your looking for a dimmer light then some of the sets on ebay come with a small switch that you can adjust the voltage on the plug

latest innovation allows LED lights submerge that gives extra
coolness to the viewer's eyes. those type are originally intended
for mini decorative water falls in the living room.
