Oh, I just found this thread. I am glad you started this one Penn. I agree, I think we will find the solution in the end. :)

I use Google Chrome. Sounds like this is the one having the problems. I have tried other similar forums to see if there is a lag on other sites, and i have found that other sites work perfectly. The last few times I have logged on to this site, it has been the worst. Makes me feel like I have dial up all over again. .

I will try to keep a log and keep everyone updated. I don't have any plans to ditch google chrome, I am a big fan of the browser for many reasons.

Thanks again! :)

I don't use Chrome or Firefox - I'm still the same old IE user (version 9). When I switched I had problems using the smileys and doing any type of font changes. Now I don't have that problem but I still have lag time loading threads. This one took about 45 seconds to load. But another thread took like 5 seconds to load. Not sure what the deal is...

There is a fine line between sanity and insanity.... Come walk it with me!

I've never experienced any lag out of the normal range here.
I think the server is running just like it's supposed to... People having connection problems or lag should check with their ISP.

after 10+ years of online PC gaming .. first person shooters .. where lag counts
i know abit about how to keep ping low

its not my ISP !!!

i dont get lag ANYWHERE on the net
game servers or webpage except here

the only 2 things i can think of are forum traffic overloads
or the web template itself

Problem's not the server as Penn has mentioned before. Traffic is most likely the cause of lag for most ppl experiencing this problem. Even if you think your ISP is running optimal I recommend giving them a call & explaining your problem. Another cause of lag also depends on CPU & browser. ;)

even if it was my browser
dont you think a public forum
would not alienate the most popular browser on the net (IE9)

doesnt seem like very smart thinking .. being the forum needs new members to grow
and replace old ones that are less active

@WylDe Billy
It's not the site that needs updating, from what I've read here it was updated a short time ago.
The problem is most likely your browser, for your information (IE9) is an open source browser that has many issues.
and it's not nice to offend the site Host (doesnt seem like very smart thinking - alienate the most popular browser on the net (IE9)...
and it's not the most popular browser ... sorry to tell you ;)
