I hadn't really noticed it before. And maybe I abbreviate sometimes too.

Some people post on this site from their phones, I know I do occasionally. So that may explain why some of the membors posts look more like text talk.

But overall for me, I don't mind typing full sentences.... For I type super fast. ;)

Can't anybody out there give me a clear, step by step procedure for using reference quotes? I mean just look at how I botched up the preceding quote. It looks like I'm trying to put words in someone elses mouth.

I want to quote specific sentences, not entire posts. If you think about the process as if you've never done it before, then it becomes possible to give clear instructions.

Hit reply topic. Then click the quote icon above the smileys. Copy the text you want to quote and paste it between the quote code things...whatever they're called. Just figured it out for myself. :)

All your text must then be typed in after the quote code things or it will end up in the quote itself...

1) click the quote button at the reply section at the bottom; or
2) click the icon on top of the reply box; highlight the sentence
you want to use; insert it at the quote unquote clip.

This is the best way to do it if you're quoting a single person...

the easiest way to learn how to do it is :
try to select the quote button at the bottom of any post that uses
the quote....the figure out how did the person insert his message..
