Times are changing, software is being updated and it is now going to affect us. I will be implementing changes at some stage soon. Firstly, I will be upgrading the forum in the next couple of days. I can't give you a time when this will happen. It could take five minutes, it may take all day, again I can't tell you how long it will be off-line for, it all depends whether I run into problems.

Now, we are running on old Joomla software. Now whereas it's perfectly okay and does the job, a new version of Joomla has been launched in the last year. For security reasons, and the fact that this version of our software will become redundant at some stage soon, we must upgrade. However, it isn't quite as simple as overwriting a few files. I will have to wipe all the files regarding this website before I can install the new software. For obvious reasons, I don't really want to do that because some other URLs will probably be different and we don't want to lose traffic. So I have decided that it might be easier to move on to a different domain. Don't worry, the changes are very slight. Instead of our main domain being www.oscarfishlover.com, it will actually become www.Oscarfishlover.co.uk.

This particular website will not disappear for a long time. The forum will be used as a reference only, you will not be able to post on it. A new forum will be added to the new website and you will have to register again. The new website will have a different look but will still contain all the content that you are familiar with.

It's not going to happen overnight, I've got a lot of other website work on so it will be done gradually. When the time comes to launch the website properly, I will inform all members.

I think that whoever decided to put Karma on websites didn't quite understand the meaning of it. Basically, it means if you've been a bit of a bastard in this lifetime, it will catch up with you in your next life. Or if you have being a good person you will be rewarded next time around. However on a website it is used to either congratulate someone, alternatively the opposite.

Attention all moderators you should be able to moderate the "DIY" forum now.

By the way, I am home. Got to go back into hospital in six weeks again to have my right kidney removed, I think because it is hardly functioning and has been infected, that has more than likely been the cause of all my problems in the last few months. Anyway I'm feeling okay at the moment. Because I didn't eat properly for so long, I am like a stray dog, meal times are the highlight of my day
