anyone tell me whats the "karma" thing on top of your profile and in your posts?????? whats it for and what does it do and why please??????????

if you think someone has given some really good advice and has helped you out then you can give them one point of karma. Alternatively, you can give them bad karma. However, if I start seeing abuse, i.e. giving bad karma when it's not deserved, I will remove it. I had it on for a while and then removed it, let's try it again.

the karma button used to on the old page design and was removed at an upgrade(if i remember correctly).

personally i never paid it much attention and as i recall it wasnt used that much. the last i really remember about it was when someone didnt like a post a member put up and gave him a really low score.

i cant really say i missed it much.

but i believe a that a person who believes in true karma
does't care about the count but keeps on doing what he thinks
is good to others. After watching the movie " Pay it Forward"
(Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunts and that boy Olsen), my perspective
on karma changed. Same is true with the movie GHANDI" but i find
it hard to put it on practice (the latter one).
