Sending Messages
Sending and receiving "PM" [private messages] is very straightforward. We have two messaging systems activated so to save confusion I have put together this little tutorial to help you.
If you're on the forum & want to send a private message then look under the person's avatar and you will see three little tabs. One of them will be "PM". Simply click on this and a page will open where you can add your message. If you want to add emotions then just double click them. When you have finished just click send
You can also send private messages from the member's profile. Click on the "profile" tab and you will be redirected to the person's profile page. You just then click on "write message" and it should be self explanatory from their. If you are a Facebook user then this should be very familiar
Receiving Messages
Because we have two messaging systems in place you may receive messages by various routes.
If someone has sent you a message from your profile then you should receive an e-mail informing you of a new message. However some web-based e-mail addresses are rather slow and it is not unknown for notification e-mails to take some time to arrive.
Registered members can look on the home page where they will be informed of any new messages.
You can also go to your profile to check for any messages waiting for you.
Sending and receiving messages is very easy. Just remember that if you do have a web based e-mail address such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail then it may be an idea to check for messages because you don't always get it an e-mail notification, or it may go into your junk
