I added 2 tinfoil barbs wuth my 3 oscars yesterday,at first the oscars wanted to bite the tinfoil but the later was too fast, today i noticed that they had stopped chasing the 2 tinfoil(they don't even try to bite the tinfoils even when they come near to them). It seems they accepted the tinfoils

Yesterday i also wanted to buy clown loaches but they were too small and my oscars would hav swallowed them at one go...I am now thinking of adding 2 paroon sharks or 1 electric blue jack dempsey or 3 more tinfoils or clown loaches or one parrotfish

yesterday i saw a huge parrot fish,it was a lot bigger than a rugby ball, mostly like a foot ball and it was so beautiful but not for sale

congratz on the new fish.
One thing comes to mind when you talk about the fish you like.
That is the difference in tank requirements. Some barbs extra or a Dempsey will not add that much to your bioload and can be easily added.
But Paroon sharks will grow excessively and become real tankbusters and will require a huge tank.
In the wild they can reach a lenght of 100" (250cm) and up to 300 kg in weight! Although it rarely reaches this size in captivity, it's easily capable of topping 48" (120cm).

So, there's something to think about real good before jumping into the "Monsterfishkeeping-boat"

good to hear about your new fish. I have 5 "yellow fin" tinfoil barbs with my Oscars. The same thing happend when I added them, the Oscars chased them around for about a full day, but now not even as much as a glance. I think its nice to have 5 barbs because they make a nice small school. and for me the school gives a nice shiny flare to the tank.

I hope you have a big tank- you will need one in excess of 250g for those 5 fish
I can't get no sleep
