so i was wondering y people never put goldfish with any other fish except goldfishes. y is that? i read before that they could kill ur other fishes somehow.

in my place, hobbyisttend to keep oscar and gold fish but gold fish
end up to be a good lunch for an oscar. however, i found out from this
site that gold fish can harm your o due to the presence of toxin in them...
i am not sure but most of the hobbyist always had a new oscar a year later

As Paul said, keeping goldfish and Oscars together is NOT a good idea...

There are several reasons for this...

Goldfish give off a LOT of Ammonia, We fight like hell to keep Ammonia out of our Oscar tanks as it is poison to them...

Secondly, Goldfish are Cold water and Oscars are Tropical and prefer warm water...

It is just NOT a good idea to keep them together!

There are many fish you can keep with goldfish, oscar are not one of them
