I would think as long as you find a bigger one they should be fine. Even if your O is small now, you still need a bigger one as these cats won't grow near as fast as Oscars.

I've heard those are cool, peaceful fish. Pretty much nocturnal though. Aren't those the ones that can make 'noises' when you take them out of the water? Other than making sure its not small enough to be made a meal of I wouldn't see why it would be a problem. But again, you gotta make sure it can't fit in the O's mouth because I think they do have fin spines.

anyone mind if i say the word "Pleco".
I heard they sometime clean gravel too, and are pretty good at it, especially if you do not feed them every day.
They will go round at night and do a pretty good job, so i heard.
But it may be just a rumour...

Big raphael are cool and if you keep a sizebale difference, it could work out fine.
i want one one day,and a jaguar, and a tiger shovelnose, and some gulpers and an RTC,, and oh, a megalodoras as well.

Man ,am i glad i got Dimmy to put things in perspective.
I wanna flood the house so badly...
We can allways live upstairs, right?
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
