i don't have them, but i know their adultsize will make a good tankmate for oscars.
Just make sure you have a big enough difference in size to begin with.
If the oscar were to try to eat the synodontis, it could get stuck in it's throath, for it has sharp spines,a s a defensive mechanism.
I like them, and i'm sure i'll have a syno or a few one day.

Are they expensive where you live?

Ow, Australia...
That gives me no reference whatsoever for everything seems overpriced in your country.

i have two in my tank with my two baby oscars and JD. They seem to get on just fine and the oscars dont bother them at all. Probably because ther synos are bigger than them at the moment mine are quite shy tho, they like to hide alot in the day and only really venture out for some food. But are very active at night which is right I think from what i read up on them.

i understand, and still think it's a cool name.
Noddy is short for Noddy and it's what most people call me in real life too.

i found out what the urban dictionary says about Noddy:

"Someone that is shit at fishing or someone that is fishing for pointless small fish." Someone that is intentially catching poinless small fish is 'Noddy Bashing' .
