hi there,

just a question, i have a 70 gallon tank massive corner unit and an oscar that is to my sunrises haha non aggressive. I also have 3 silver tinfoils and 3 small parrot fish, he has taken to them without a problem. Someone has asked me to take another 2 or 3 fish from him parrot or another chichlid, would this be wise for the size of the tank i have. I have external and internal filter ect.
many thanks
H

imo you might have to much in your tank now. some strains of parrots can grow to about 6" or so. tinfoil barbs can grow up to 12".

picture those fish at that size in your tank plus a 12-14" oscar.

to me, i think your tank would be massively overstocked but thats just my opinion
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

my goal is simple a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all

I agree that the tank is already overstocked and would not take anymore fish into the tank.

Only take the other fish if the alternative for them is being killed. As already said you already have too many fish and you need to think about either getting a bigger tank or rehoming some of them. Tin foil barbs are a foot long fish that eat and eat
