finnaly i got a new buddy i went to my local marine warehouse in hunt for a new tankmate and found a nice looking 6 inch green severum hes a lil rough around the fins but not bad him/her and my oscar are getin used to each other oscar chasin him and nippin him/her i hope they settle down what do yall think its funny seein my 3 inch oscar chase this massive fish any advice on keeping and maintaining him

from what i understand sevs are very similar to oscars when it comes to feeding and water parameters.
a good balanced diet and stable water is all that is really needed to keep them

I do keep Severums and Oscars together. Both are capable of defending themselves from each other. They might display some aggressive like behavior in order to claim territory, but other than that, it should work neatly well. Don't be surprise if they swim together (mine did when not mating, hopefully they will again).

Beautiful fish the Green Severum. They get a copper-red coloration in their pectoral fins as they mature.

thankyou very much yes hes very pretty and has bright red eyes, im hopin that himand oscar work well together any feeding tips how should i feed him with my oscar and when, that has seemed to be my problem with tankmates is oscar harrases them and they dont eat and die and i dont want that to happen
