does anyone think this might work

my knowledge of dats is a little limited but i know they can grow up to 2 feet(in the wild)not sure about in an aquarium. some dat species also need a higher salinity level. they also prefer a tank with lots of plants(not easy to do with o's) and hiding spots.

Yeah, they can get quite big. Would it work? you enough to either try and find someone who has had them together, or bite the bullet and get one. Do some research first, these fish come from the other side of the world and Oscars. They might prefer a completely different habitat and water conditions. I have got clown loach in with my Oscars in the 125 gallon tank and everything is just fine. However, I wouldn't mixc fish from different parts of the world again.
