A few weeks ago I was surfing in the net and found a web page endorsing quite unusual tank mates: like Angelfish and Oscars. I stopped reading after realizing it was a store page (intended to push their sales).

Well... the idea stayed with me. I wouldn't dare placing sub-adults or young adults there, but what about full grown adult ( say 6" )paired-off Angelfish? Has anyone considered this? I was looking for that page today but couldn't find it.

Their water parameters overlap neatly.

Just a thought.

if you will notice in my video, i have
a beautiful angel fish with my monster oscars.
and they get well all along. that angel fish lives
with the oscars and pangasius from the start. but oscar
and pang outgrow it. its body is about 5 inches wide with
very long fin at the abdomen. the same angel fish is the
one that picks those oscar hatchlings.

Take a look in this photo..... there is my angel fish with the monster.
moreover, those plants, i found out, help me keep my water parameters in
good shape.... despite of minimal water change.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Opens up other ideas.
75 gallon - 1 albino tiger, 1 blue acara, 3 pictus catfish, 3 silver dollars & 1 candy-stripe pleco.

20 gallon - planted tank.
