hey guys

at the moment i got a 325 litre tank which will have 2 blue acara and 1 oscar. later il purchase a larger 6x2x2 tank.

is it possible to introduce a same size oscar to try for breeding purposes? or will it go crazy town.
2.5ft 5cm ELN turtle
4ft planted community tank. tetras, guppies, plecos, bristlnenose
7ft oscar tank with tilapia and convict

it really is impossible to say whether or not you will have problems adding an additional Oscar At a later date.You can only try and hope it works. The problem you've got is you don't know whether you've got a male or a female at the moment, because Oscars are impossible to sex just by looking at them, you are going to be relying on luck that you end up with a male and female.

i concur with OFL. but that is worth trying.
even if they were tank mates from the start,
there is no assurance it will work. if turn out
to be both male, supremacy will become an issue,
with less aggressiveness if both are female.

i guess ill have to see if im lucky or not. damn monomorphic oscars!

i have done it very sucsessfully ....it was very hard to find a suitable size/age mate but after a lot of searching it worked out fine with no problems at all:) check my thread "my new white tiger" in pic and vids section theres a bit more info for you on the intro of another fish there ......
