I think I'll leave him a while longer just to be safe. 4 inches is a guess. Have not measured him since he will not cooperate like my oscar

These guys look like they can be vicious when they want to. I put a blue mystery in today and now he's in the process of trying to rip him out of his shell as I'm typing this. Snails havn't seemed to work out for me with either of my fish...

Best to leave it if you're worried. If it helps, mine is currently about 5 inches & my O is 9+ inches, they have been together since the Raph was about 3 inches & O about 7 inches. I only had problems with a 2 inch Raph that I put in at the same time & mt O tried to eat.

Unless like me you are ready with video camera wanting to hear them growl and then they just sit there in complete silence :(

Know that feeling...
Two of mine growl like champions. The third, camera ready, not a peep.

They can be aggressive, I suspect, but they're too fat and lazy to bother :)

I sold one of mine at the weekend, when I caught it I had my camera ready & it started growling so I took a nice video. I then bagged the fish up & delivered it. When I got home I went to show my uninterested wife a fish growling only to find out I must have hit the wrong button & had a photo of the side of the tank & my leg

Lol that sucks I was looking forward to seeing the video. I've done stuff like that too that's why I find it funny.

Well he seems to leave the snail alone now, probably bored of it. I guess he was just "inspecting" it with this mouth since it was something new to him

LOL!

Oh, man, that video of your leg... I almost feel like encouraging you to post it just for the heck of it!

Phantom, glad your snail has some peace now.
