Hope you guys/gals enjoy. Was thinking about dividing off a small area of the tank and adding the denisen barbs maybe they will grow quicker ? Been a few weeks since they are out of qt and have put on some size already. What do you guys think ?

Yup that's a great looking tank and fish. They are doing awesome.

I would leave them in the 55 until they can't fit in Capone's mouth......they would make an expensive meal.

Do daily WC's as this will maximize growth.

I would grow them a bit more as well, and then add them with a divider for a month or 2 then pull the divider out. It works for me most of the time. Sometimes they don't even notice when it's pulled. Unless of course it's 2 cichlids that didn't get along, they just go back to fighting.

Capone's dorsal and ventral fins are beatifully extended. Correct me if I'm wrong ... capone is an astronotus crassipinnis.
