Caution on overstocking. TFB's can easily exceed a foot long.

5 tfb's is allot of fish lol.
Check out the viejas/paraneetroplus . Very colorful aggressive cichlids. That would be a nice tank for a comm. Regani , synspilus , breidohri are beautiful and are known to not be hyper aggressive like some of the others in that family....these would not work with an oscar though

just picked up a fluval fx6. buddy of mine provided me with enough biorings from his tank to fill it up to seed it. I may pass on the barbs. Really love the sun cat though

Sun cats are great looking but keep in mind any future fish you get will have to be almoat adult size. Cats are very opportunistic

Edit maybe not adult sized but large enough not to be eaten

How's a fx6 and 406 for filtration on a 240? eventually i'll be adding a sump or an additional fx6

Any experience with sunsun or aquatop? they offer some cheap powerful filters. Worth a shot? or just stick with two FX6's

Two fx's should be fine. Tank looks great but i would take the intakes up a few inches sand can really cause havoc on them the impellers are located on the bottom of the canister.
